Weekend Recap: Millennium Tour 2020

Hey Yall! I hope yall are enjoying this wonderful Sunday and I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I definitely did. My cousin Germanie and I traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to attend the Millenium Tour 2020 featuring Omarion, Bow Wow, Pretty Ricky, Soulja Boi, Sammy, Lloyd, Ashanti, and the Ying Yang Twinz. We had so much fun listening to some of the songs we grew up listening to. This was my first real concert experience so I was very excited about it. This blog will be different because, in addition to fashion, I will share my traveling experience, dining experience, and overall trip experience. This will pretty much be a lifestyle type of blog.

Day 1

The first night there we went to 4th Street Live!, which is similar to Beale Street. It's definitely where you will find all the local eateries and bars. That night we enjoyed a nice dinner at Bourbon Raw which is a great restaurant. If you ever go to Louisville, check it out! There was a date night special where it included a salad, entree, dessert, and a bottle of wine. It was definitely a great experience. I had the fried chicken with gravy, green beans, and hashbrown casserole and it was so delicious. As for the salad, we had a brussel sprout salad with bacon vinaigrette. Omg, it was so good! For dessert and wine, we had a fudge and caramel brownie with chocolate chips and enjoyed a bottle of red wine.

On to the fashion, I wore a snakeskin bodysuit from Fashion Nova(size 3x) with some high-waist black jeggings from JCPenney. They are from the brand A.N.A and they were on sale for $24.99. I paired it with a pair of knee-high boots from Catos Fashion(size 9W). For accessories, I wore a brown and gold watch and gold studs from Catos Fashion.

Day 2

The next day we went back to 4th Street Live to Guy Fieri's Smokehouse for lunch. If you didn't know, Guy is the host of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and a world-renowned foodie. For the appetizer, we had Bourbon BBQ wings with chipotle ranch. When I tell you, these were some of the best wings I ever had. They were so crispy and flavorful. For the entree, I had the brisket with Bourbon BBQ sauce paired with crinkle-cut/waffle fries, toast, and coleslaw. Kentucky definitely brings the Bourbon flavor to all of their dishes. As for fashion, I wore my burnt orange sweater from JCPenney with some black fleece leggings. I paired it with my black Steve Madden-Madden Girl combat boots. It was a cold day and I wanted to be comfy and warm.

Later on, we attended the concert at the KFC Yum! Center and it was definitely a good time. The theme was to dress like we did in the early 2000s. I seen so many jersey dresses, jogging suits, etc. I didn't quite go with the theme, but I was definitely cute and comfortable. I wore a long denim jacket customized by Rebellish Rebby. I paired it with a black bodycon dress along with black-striped socks and my Madden Girl combat boots. As for accessories, I wore some classic, big silver hoops.

Overall, Kentucky has a lot to offer and we will definitely be going back soon. The weather was so different. It was definitely cold and even snowing at one point on the way there. I wouldn't trade this moment for anything and to enjoy it with one of my favorite cousins/best friends was a plus for me. It was definitely a cousin trip to remember. One thing we will definitely have to try when we go back is that good ol Kentucky Bourbon.

Well yall! That's it for this blog. Stay tuned for upcoming posts and looks. Let me know if you would like me to showcase more travels and eateries along with fashion. Don't forget to follow me on all social media platforms.

God Bless,
